again,  no official support from adobe worker.

this is how it looks like now, i tried many times with different indesign versions, from 19.0-19.5, all of them stops like this. after opening indeisign, after some steps, it went to "no responce", the circle keeps turning. i have to shut it down, after reopening, it shows again.

Hi @Phasm,

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with InDesign and Creative Cloud. Here are some steps that may help resolve the issues you're facing:

  1. Sometimes, system cache issues can cause applications to misbehave. Try clearing your system cache:

    • Go to Finder > Go > Go to Folder, then type ~/Library/Caches and press Enter. You can delete the contents of the Caches folder (not the folder itself).
  2. To rule out any user-specific issues, create a new user account on your Mac and try running InDesign from there. This can help determine if the problem is related to your user profile.

  3. Open Activity Monitor (found in Applications > Utilities) and check for any processes that might be using a lot of resources or conflicting with InDesign when you try to open it.

  4. As suggested by the community, using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool can help you thoroughly remove any remnants of previous installations. Once you run it, reinstall the Creative Cloud app and then InDesign. Reference: https://adobe.ly/3UxxB6A

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best,
Abhishek Rao

Since you've already tried everything:

Create a new partition on your hard drive (or use an external drive if you have one) and install macOS, then Creative Cloud. Will it work?

If it does, then you at least will know that there's something wrong with your entire macOS installation.

Also, how much RAM do you have?

thanks for the help.

yes, i also thought maybe i have to do that.

i looked through the whole crash down process, acctually i can open indesign, and i could operate it for about 10 second, and then it crashed down. so the software and macos system should be ok ? (maybe) but something stucked, i have no idea what that is. i did not open indesign file, i have tried different operations, every way leads to crash down in the same way.

i am not sure whether the adobe techniker can find something through the crash down date...

ok, after one day long trying, i gived up,

i tried:

1. restart
2. uninstall and reinstall
3. even i tried creative cloud cleaner tool to absolutely delete every adobe software in my macbook and reinstall creative cloud
Finally i can log in creative cloud which allows me to uninstall my indesign and download lower version. but new problems comes.

I use indesign 19.5, i can open it, but the moment i open it, it stucked, the colorful circle keep turning, always "Indeisign has no responce". no way to fix it. i tried restart, reinstall, uninstall

i assuem, i have upgraded the latest macos version (Sequoia 15.1) and somehow it does not work with indesign. so i have to wait untill adobe to fix this problem. if not, any clue will be very thankful !!!

@Phasm

Use "nuclear option" - CC Cleaner - from @Mike Witherell's link.

@Phasm

There are a lot of posts about problems with ID 2025 on Macs - for now, you'll have to downgrade to 2024 and turn off Auto-update.

thanks, i will go back to the lower version.

but another problem is, i can not log in to creative cloud, i can not delete indesign and reinstall.  it always shows the loading page "initialising creative cloud ".

i have tried a lot of ways:
1. restart
2. uninstall and reinstall
3. even i tried creative cloud cleaner tool to absolutely delete every adobe software in my macbook and reinstall creative cloud
None of it works, i always stuck in loading page "initialising creative cloud ".

hello Mike,

thanks for your quick answer, i have read and tried the operation in that website, it still does not work.

restart i have tried hundreds of times.

that problem is not because the indesign file, i tried to open indesign directly, it just crashs down everytime. now i can not open my creative cloud, i can not uninstall my indesign.

do you have some ideas why this happens ?

thanks

Nicklas
