Indesign app closing itself

Hi, After opening the app and If I try working, it is getting closed. I've installed and using on my desktop windows 10. does anyone facing this issue? How to fix it?

    Hi @vijayalakshmi_4838,

     

    Thanks for sharing the issue. Could you please confirm the version of InDesign you're currently using? Also, let me know if this closing happens with a specific file or every time you try to open any file. It would be helpful if you could test creating a brand-new document and see if the app closes unexpectedly there as well.

    When the app shuts down, do you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog box pop up?

    To help rule out system-level or user-level conflicts, I'd also recommend testing the issue by launching your PC in Safe Mode and trying InDesign in a new local admin user account. Here are some helpful links to guide you through that:

    Hello Abhishek, Thanks for your reply, i'm using indesign 2025 ver 20.3. I use inDesign to publish my kannada books. I've come across strange problem while using a particular alphabet (ಳ). 

     

    I copy & paste entire kannada content to Indesign for layouting and publishing. While formating text heading  using paragraph style or increase or decrease font size and if the word contains letter 'ಳ' the application will closes unexpectedly.

     

    Right now i've found and facing this strange problem with the character 'ಳ'. Please help

    Thanks again for sharing those details. To help us look into this further, could you try the same steps on InDesign version 20.3.1 and let me know if the issue still occurs there?

    It would also be great to know if the app closes only when you're applying a specific font through a paragraph style, or if it happens with any Kannada font. If it's tied to one font in particular, please let me know the font name so we can test it on our end.

    If you're able to, please share a short screen recording that shows the full workflow, from copying the text to formatting it, so we can better understand exactly when the crash happens. Feel free to include a sample file as well if you're comfortable sharing it. If confidential, please share via DM on the community.
