InDesign app is updated but I can't open a file because it was made "in a newer version."

I have a CC account that I use on two machines (one home, one at work). I updated a file on my machine at home. When I try to open it on the machine at work I'm told that I can't open it because it was made with a newer version of CC (13.0) and the file has to be converted. The app is marked "up to date" on both machines. Any suggests on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Ah! That's the problem. This machine is still on Yosemite. Will update. Thanks all!

"Up-to-date" could still result in different InDesign versions on the two machines.

This can happen if one of the machines has an older operating system, and can't support the newest version of InDesign that is available. In that case, it would show as up to date if it had the newest version that it could support.
