InDesign: Automatically Beveling shapes

Hello,

I'm working on a document previously created by someone else and I've noticed that I can't create shapes without a bevel/shading being added. I've checked the 'fx' tab and there isn't anything checked for this and when I do select the 'Bevel and Emboss' tab, it adds another onto the existing one.

If anyone knows a way to turn this off and stop it automatically adding this effect, that would be great.

Thanks!

Check the 'Basic Graphics Frame' style in the Object Styles panel - check if the 'Bevel and Emboss' effects you are seeing has been saved in this style. If the style is selected with no objects selected on the page, the style's properties get applied to any objects created.
