InDesign being on the cloud

Hello! 

 

I'm not a developer but was wanting to ask a question about the InDesign SDK. 

 

I am trying to have InDesign automated when a user submits details within the Microsoft Teams App, InDesign goes and plugs in the data fields and exports a PDF for them to approve or not all within Microsoft Teams. 

 

My question is, can the SDK functionality work off the cloud, or will we have to build a server for it and launch it that way? We are trying to get away from building a server for it. 

 

I'm familiar with IT terms but if I don't understand something I could just have the IT team look at your response.

Oh, and if you guys happen to have resources I can show my IT team since they're not familiar with InDesign that would be awesome as well 🙂
