indesign Cannot insert a row into table.

I have a created atable and saved it. It is now necessay to add 1 row to the table. When I try to insert the row I am ask for the number of rows and position. I enter 1 and below. and press enter. The box disappears and nothing is added to the table. Can anyone please help. I have the latest version of Indesighn and windows 10.

Do you have verset text? Try expanding the text frame.

I have found a bypass by using another table, copying the table and saving
with the correct information and name.
I am not sure what you mean by verset text. I would appreciate it if you
could send me a reference or explanation of this text.
