InDesign CC 14.0 LINKS UPDATING

Just updated to InDesign CC 14.0 and every time i edit an image in photoshop (that is in my indesign layout) the link updates in indesign but moved the image to a different position than previously situated in the box. I am not editing the size in any way in photoshop, just for example, changing an image from RGB to CMYK and indesign still updates the image and moves the position and brings it in at a different percentage. Is this a glitch for this update? I have been through my preferences and auto fit is not selected

A wild guess, but is this option ticked  in your preferences?

Preferences > General > Content-Aware Fit > Make Content-aware Fit the default frame fitting option

    ...?

How are you updating the link/replacing the link?

Are you dragging from the desktop are you using the Links Panel submenu and choosing Relink?

no difference - just did a test with an image from cmyk to rgb and it brings the image back in 10% smaller
