Indesign CC 2017 file- How to open in 2015?

I am having the same problem.

When I try to use the CC converter to change an InDesign cc 2017 file to cc 2015

I sign in to creative cloud and then it starts the convert.

It then says

The IDML File Conversion Service is temporarily unavailable.  Try again later.

It comes up with this all the time  -  is there any way round this?

    The IDML file conversion service is now available. One of our servers went offline resulting in the issue so some users were facing error while opening newer version indd documents in older versions.

    Hello guys,

    I'vge got the same problem.

    I have bought a indesign template on the internet, and i cann't open it because it's made on 2017 version (while i have 2015 Indeisgn version).

    Can you help me ?

    I am having the same issue. The servers seem to be down again, because my conversion only goes to 33% and then cuts of.

    Any chance you replace the hamsters running it?

    Yeah, export the file from CC2017 yourself.

    My font suitcase is not working with 2017 so I'm working out of older version cc. in the past, i have been able to convert but lately it has been giving me a message that says that IDML file conversion service is temporarily unavailable.

    I told you what to do. Open it in 2017 or 2018 and export it to IDML from there.

    That said, what do you mean your "font suitcase is not working with 2017?"
