InDesign CC 2018 Crashes when using Eyedropper Tool

ID 2018 crashes while trying to use the dropper in a document originally created in ID 2017.

      We have released a patch update for InDesign CC 2018 today. It addresses many crash issues and reported bugs. Would request you all to update your InDesign app. If the update is not visible/available in InDesign please check Creative Cloud Desktop App for the app updates.

      Hi,

      We believe we have a fix available for the same. Can you follow the steps mentioned in the following KB document - https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/crash-fixes-october-2017-release.html and confirm if it resolves your issue?

      Why would you replace the 2018 crash reporter with the 2017 crash reporter? Seems that may lead to other issues. Why not just use CC 2017 then? Just wondering if this is a viable solution or just temp.

      Hi DesignRob,

      We are aware of the issue that you have mentioned where InDesign crashes while using Eyedropper tool with text inside a table.

      We are currently investigating into it.

      Other issues that are being reported on this thread are mainly crash on launch.
