InDesign cc 2019 14.01 on OS Sierra 10.12.6 Spinning Beach Ball Lag

I read some posts in a forum online where users were decrying lag time/spinning beach ball issues when they installed InDesign cc 2019 14.0. The Adobe response was a patch 14.0.1.

We installed the patch 14.0.1 but we are still experiencing lag and constant spinning beach balls on multiple machines. We are using Universal Type Client 7.0.1 with font auto-activation on most machines. But even when this auto activation is disabled and fonts are loaded locally in the InDesign font folder were are still suffering lag and spinning beach balls at random intervals. This makes for a long night of slow production when more than half the time incurred producing a job is spent waiting for InDesign to function correctly.

So in summation - are there other InDesign cc 2019 14.0.1 users still experiencing lag/stalling/hangs/spinning beach balls? No issues with any other applications - only InDesign cc 2019 14.0.1

Really would be nice if we could eliminate this problem somehow.

Thanks.
