Indesign CC2019 Ajust Page Layout Freezing

Question

I've seen post form 2018 regarding the Adjust Payout Layout freezing, but not since then. Based on the response the updates should have fixed the issue, but it is still an issue for me. It appears to be processing, but the Adjust Layout pop-up gets to 80% and then the color wheel of death appears. I've let it sit for over 20 minutes and end up force quiting the program.

I've installed the latest version of CC2019 and still the issue persist. I need to get this project updated so we can move forward with publishing.

Good day. It is now 1. april 2025 and I'm using a MacBook 16" M2 Pro with 32 GB, and InDesign freezes up every time I try to File>Adjust layout... what is happening? Is 400 pages too many for this operation? And is there any other solution to adjust my document from a5 down to a6? *fixed, but I had to remove the cover pages and all the rest exept the only text pages, then it worket &#128578;
