Indesign cloud: malfunctions every few days

Every few days, when I open Indesign, it comes up with a blank black screen (normally the opening screen shows all the latest projects I am working on). I can access my existing files from the pull down menu and everything seems to work, but I cannot open a new file. The only solution I have found is to keep reinstalling Indesign ... but I shouldn't have to keep doing this! I tried contacting Adobe support and was on hold for two hours and the individual I spoke to wasn't very knowledgeable and finally we agreed that I should reinstall, which I did and everything went back to normal. But as I said, every few days the problem reoccurs.

Any advice (not too technical please) would be appreciated. tx

Reset your preferences or failing that you can use Creative Cloud Cleaner tool

I finally hung on the phone for hours and got an adobe technician who was able to fix the problem ... he removed some file and the black page is gone. thanks

There is no any InDesign Cloud. May be you are from the future?

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner
