I use cloud sync in Indesign for work in New Zealand. Is there a confirmed date when this is going to stop?

Why wait? Switch to Dropbox or OneDrive (if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you'll get one TB of storage per user).

Can you please elaborate: what "cloud sync" exactly are you referring to? Is it provided by Adobe, or is it Google Drive, etc? If you refer to a deprecated Adobe sync functionality (whose exact name I can't recall), then it was discontinued months ago.

I still use Creative Cloud sync files, it hasn't been discontinued here yet

Adobe says it is rolling out file sharing in Indesign, the beta version is available, but not here yet
