Indesign com lag e travamentos - versão 21.0.2

As duas últimas versões do InDesign têm sido impossíveis de trabalhar. Apesar de a máquina ser compatível, ele não dá conta do trabalho e fica lento demais. Apenas eu não estou conseguindo trabalhar com ele?... 😞 Alguém tem alguma sugestão para me ajudar? Uso o Windows 11.

Thanks for sharing the details. I was able to locate the crash reports submitted from your account, and I am already checking this with the product team. I will update you as soon as I hear back from them.

In the meantime, a few things can help narrow down what is causing the slowdown and crashes on your machine. First, try launching InDesign once with the Glyphs panel completely closed to see if the app stays stable. If GPU Performance is active in Preferences, try turning it off and then relaunching. It would also be helpful to check the behavior in Windows Safe Mode to rule out any potential conflicts with background services. Ref: https://adobe.ly/3KRP9J1

You can also try resetting InDesign's user profile by renaming this folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 21.0
Rename it to Version 21.0_old, then relaunch InDesign so it can generate a fresh profile. Ref: https://adobe.ly/4pOymWr

How much RAM do you have? What processor do you have?

The system requirements shown on Adobe's website are a bare minimum but they're not nearly enough to run InDesign well.

Obrigada por sua resposta, Bob! Sim, minha máquina tem bem mais do que os requisitos mínimos. Meu processador é um intel i5 de 12ª geração. Vou acrescentar mais memória RAM por precaução, mas tenho notado que o maior problema é o aplicativo da Creative Cloud. Desliguei tudo o que podia dele em segundo plano e isso tem ajudado. É uma pena ter a produtividade diminuída assim...

If you've been retaining your older InDesign preferences when you updated to the newer versions then poor performance may very well be related to that. Preference files that were created for versions with older code often don't work as well with the newer versions. Try resetting your InDesign preferences. This will restore the program to its defaults and sjould improve performance.

To reset preferences with WIndows:

You can try the quick way of resetting on a PC which is to hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift when launching InDesign and respond affirmatively when asked if you want to reset. There have been some recent reports that the window asking if you want to reset is not popping up but that the prefs are being reset anyway. If this works great but if it doesn’t you may have to manually delete them.

To do so:

On Windows 7 and above the preference files are hidden. To find them go to the Control Panel and open Folder Options and then click the View tab. Then select “Show hidden files and folders” or “Show hidden files, folders or drive options” in Advanced Settings. Then delete (or rename) the folder at the end of this path: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\<Version #>\<Language>. Make sure that InDesign is closed when you do this. When you relaunch the program it will create new preference files and the program will be at its default settings.

The advantage of manually deleting preference files is that after you’ve reset up the program (make sure that no document window is open) to your liking, you can create copies of your personalized “mint” preference files (make sure that you quit the program before copying them—that finalizes your customization) and use them in the future to replace any corrupt versions you may need to delete.
