Hi there,

Is anyone else having the issue where their InDesign crashes when they try to change the font in a textbox?

I use this software for university and no one else is having this issue. I have tried the following to try and rectify it:

Followed Adobe instructions for input on terminal.

Validated all of my fonts.

I have re-installed and updated both InDesign and Creative Cloud.

Deleted any big files on my laptop including The Sims and Photoshop.

Installed a later version of InDesign.

Restarted my laptop.

Updated my laptop.

Removed all of my preferences for InDesign.

Used a New File/ Document to make sure that the file is not corrupted.

I am desperate for a solution as I mentioned previously it is crucial for my coursework.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. We received a few similar reports happening on macOS. So in case  you're experiencing this issue on macOS Sonoma, please update InDesign to 19.3 and let us know if that resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.

Thanks

Rishabh

Carefully go over these steps again:

Reset InDesign Preferences and other troubleshooting

Especially pay attention to the troubleshooting related to a corrupt file.
