InDesign crashes and system restarts under High Sierra

InDesign crashes and system restarts when trying to replace font family (actually when hitting the button 'font family'). InDesign is CC2018, OS is High Sierra.

    If the system restarts without asking (reboots) then you need to look at the system, hardware or device drivers. An app can't do that, even if it is faulty.  But the InDesign crash probably belongs to InDesign. What is the message?
