InDesign crashes every time I try to open the app

How much RAM do you have? I don't see this info in the log.

16GB of ram, thanks

It's not super old, was the macbook pro from either 2021 or 2022. Would need to check, but was essentially the best available without going to crazy price levels, so needed to come direct from Apple rather than from a regular retailer.

 

The issue has been limited to only indesign with illustrator and photoshop having no crashing issues

You mentioned a recent OS update. Did this start before or after that?

Before. The update I did after trying a plethora of other fixes first.

Have you tried rebooting into Safe Mode (shift key on launch) and trying? Have you tried another user on the computer?

I'm sorry to hear the suggestions did not help. It seems the logs did not come through. Could you upload the crash logs to a file-sharing service and share a link to the file(s) so we can check it with the team?
