InDesign crashes on opening

InDesign 19.5 crashes on opening. Went through the FAQs in Adobe to no avail.
Unistalled the program and reinstalled with the same problem.
Restarted MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.2) in safe mode, and opened the program from Creative Cloud and worked OK.

Restarted out of safe mode – old problem back.
Interesting note: I resisted InDesign 2024 and used 2023 – until I had the same problem, which is when I started using 2024.
