InDesign crashes when I update a placed photo in Photoshop

As requested by Robert, could you share your OS details and confirm whether your files are stored locally, on a server, or in the cloud?

Crashes like this can sometimes be linked to how InDesign updates linked files. Does this happen only with a specific file, or does it occur with any linked Photoshop file? Try testing it with a new InDesign file and let me know if the issue persists.

Also, every time a crash happens, the Adobe product team can investigate crash logs submitted via the Adobe Crash Reporter. Since locating logs is like finding a needle in a haystack, sharing the email used when submitting the report helps speed up the process. If possible, a short screen recording of the workflow leading to the crash would be super helpful.

You forgot about platform and OS version. 

Also, do you work locally or your files are stored on a server / in the cloud?
