InDesign crashes when inserting end-of-page notes

I would like to know why the InDesign 18.5 program crashes when I am inserting an end-of-page note. This happens every time I do this. How do I resolve this issue?

    Hi @Gerinelson321944840ts9 ,

    what is a "end-of-page" note? InDesign has endnotes and footnotes.

    What exactly are you talking about? Is the text of the notes part of the text frame on the page? Then it is a footnote.

     

    Could be some kind of document corruption. I would try the following:

     

    Save the document as IDML file.

    Open the IDML file in InDesign.

    Save it to a new document with a new name.

    Try to insert the note again.

     

    If that does not help:

    Could you share a document where this happens?

    Just share a small sample only if possible.
