Save the document as an IDML, reopen it as an InDesign document and resave it with a different file name.

If that doesnt resolve the issue try this:

Divide the document in half and see whether you can open one half successfully and if the other half crashes the application, if so, keep dividing the 'bad" side until (hopefully) you isolate the issue, which may be a corrupt font or image.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please share a few more details like:

 

  1. As per the crash report, you have InDesign 17.2 and the latest version of InDesign is 17.3 so in which version that file was created? 
  2. Is this happening with other files as well or just this specific file?
  3. Is the file saved locally on your hard drive or on any network folder synched locally? Have you tried changing the location of the file?
