InDesign CS4 - Where do plugins go?

Hi,

I have a plug-in that was recently ported from Indesign CS3 to CS4. Before I had a .DLL file under the root folder of indesign, and my .PLN files under the plug-in folder. Everything worked with this set up.

However, with CS4 I do not see my plug-in. On startup, CS3 would says "searching for plug-ins" and it seems to have found mine. CS4 also states this but it doesnt work. CS4 reports no errors.

Is there a dependency or additional configuration that I need? Or maybe how you install plug-ins changed in CS4?

So far as i know, there is no special configuration for CS4 plug-ins. Just put them under the Plug-ins folder and InDesign would load them automatically.

Maybe you can check from Help/Configure Plug-ins... to see the status of your own plug-in.

If i were you, i would check the poring steps again.

Hope it helps.
