InDesign data merge not finding images

I am putting the csv file and the images in the same folder, yet when I try to merge data, the text comes in fine, but the images are not found. I have also tried to list an absolute path. I got it to work once, but have not been able to duplicate. Also, and maybe this is another question. the images all now need to be updated when I reopen the file, but it only allows me to update one at a time. Usually, if there were multiple images to update in one folder, I was able to update all in one click. Thanks for any insight.

So here's the deal (and why I can never be a coder).

It turns out the image file names did not match what was in the CSV file because someone (me) accidentally batched in a word space before each image which I did not catch when I was looking at the directory. Once I did realized what I had done and fixed it, the data merge worked beautifully. To avoid problems, I have kept the CSV file in the same folder as the images.

    Thanks to all who responded.

Does the header for the image column start with the @ symbol, i.e., @photo?

To update all links, hold Option (or Alt on Windows) and then update.
