Question

Indesign display bug for linked images

My linked images are displayed correctly only for a flash second, then they turn stripey. If I save the document in a PDF, the buggy images are also in the PDF.

I have tried everything, including resetting all settings and re-installation.

See the attached image.

Where do the images reside? Locally, on a remote server or on a cloud drive?

They are on Google Drive

And is that folder fully sync'ed? Do the images work okay if you move them to a local drive.

If you're on a Mac, turn off GPU performance in your InDesign preferences. If that's not it, please tell us what type of image you're placing in InDesign.

I already tried this, it didn't make a difference.

The images are JPEGs and PNGs located on and linked from a Google Drive.
