I'm having a new problem with the latest version of InDesign 21.0.2 x64. When I scroll with the mouse wheel, sometimes the page becomes unreadable, with a "comet effect" that prevents the page from being displayed correctly. Attached are two screenshots of the "normal" and "comet effect" pages.
Thanks for sharing the screenshots. Please try the suggestion from the expert and let me know if updating makes a difference. If the issue still occurs, please try toggling GPU Performance in InDesign Preferences, restart InDesign, and test scrolling again to see if there's any change.
If it continues, please share your Windows version and GPU model, and let me know whether you're using an external mouse, trackpad, or any custom mouse driver or utility. It would also help to know if this happens in all documents, including a newly created blank document, or only in specific files. Also, please confirm whether you're using an external monitor and if the issue appears only on that display or on the primary screen as well.
Thanks for the details you've shared so far. To help isolate what's causing the scrolling and display issue, please try a few quick tests on your side? If possible, try using a different mouse, or a trackpad. If the issue no longer appears, that would point toward a mouse driver or utility conflict.
Next, please test with only one monitor connected by disconnecting the second Philips display and then scroll in InDesign again. It would also be helpful to boot Windows in Safe Mode (or Safe Mode with Networking) and test the same workflow there. If the issue does not reproduce in Safe Mode, that usually indicates a third-party driver or background utility conflict. Ref: https://adobe.ly/3Lz2aYa
