Hi @Sushmita369,

I tested this on my end and was able to place the graphs successfully after saving the Word file as RTF and then placing it into InDesign. This is a known workaround, as InDesign doesn't reliably import charts created in Word using Insert > Chart, since those are embedded objects. Converting the file to RTF helps InDesign interpret the content correctly, which is why the graphs come through in that case.

I understand how important it is for your workflow to place Word documents with charts directly, and I'm sorry this isn't supported at the moment. If you're open to it, I'd really appreciate it if you could create a UserVoice feature request and add your comments there. This helps us better prioritize requests and ensures you’ll be notified of any updates. You can submit it here: https://adobe.ly/4pwBntI.

Could you please try saving your Word file as RTF(do a Save as), place that into InDesign, and let me know if that resolves the issue for you?

Hi @Sushmita369,

I understand that this functionality is important to your workflow, and I'm sorry that it isn't available at this time. At the moment, there isn't a preference in InDesign to control decimal step increments for Leading when using the arrow keys, and values can only be adjusted in whole-point steps unless entered manually.

If you're open to it, I recommend creating a UserVoice feature request and adding your comments there. This helps the product team better prioritize requests and ensures you’ll be notified of any updates.
