Why is it when it was advertised as a free download are you trying to charge a monthly fee? THis is against UK law.

Okay thanks. Common language or practice does not necessarily make it legal. I get the idea though. It, appears to me, like it is misleading people and tempting them in hoping they end up following through.

The free seven days trail is not advertised so how would I take advantage of it and still be able to cancel without penalty if it is not for me?

Just sign in with your Adobe ID using the CC Desktop app. The trial starts right then and there.

You can use for free for seven days. After that you pay. It’s a test drive.

Of course, if you disagree, hire a lawyer.

"Free download" is common language used throughout the Internet. Downloading a program does not mean that it is activated. Many times it means that you get a free trial period but unless it is specifically advertised as being freeware there will always be a fee for extended use of the program. Nowadays with most software companies that means establishing a subscription.
