InDesign edit menu greyed out

Suddenly I can’t Find and Replace in InDesign. Most of the Edit menu is greyed out. I’ve ensured that either a text box or a paragraph is selected and this makes no difference. I’ve never had this problem before and it’s just happened suddenly. I haven’t changed any settings.

    Please let us know the version of InDesign you’re using, along with your computer’s operating system. Apart from clearing the cache as suggested by our Expert, Manan. You can also try renaming the UXP folder located at the following location:

    • Windows: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

    Which InDesign version? UI issues are solved by clearing out cache, try that
