InDesign Export Error: PDF Fails Due to Page Issues

Hi,

I have a file that fails to export to pdf. It says an error on page 14 made it fail, I export up to page 13 fine. I then delete page 14 and try to export only for it to fail again on the new blank page 14. I then delete that page and suddenly page 13 (which was fine before) is not what causes it to fail?

Have also tried moving all pages to a new blank document but it yet again fails on page 14.

Just tried to export from page 15 - end and got an issue that it failed because of page number 6?!

I am beyond confused!

Where it crashes isn't where it's failing.

Try exporting half your pages - that is if it's 30 pages - try pages 1-15 then try 16-30

Then see which side it fails on.

If it's 1-15 then try 1-7 then try 8-15

Which ever side it fails on is where the issue is.

It's a long tested divide and conquer method.

I've had it before and doing that it worked on both sides of the export but wouldn't export all - so I just combined the PDF in Acrobat.

If a document is not behaving well then try

File>Export

Choose IDML

Open the IDML in InDesign
Save the file as a new InDesign file with a new name
See if the issue persists.
