InDesign export to epub

Hi,

I've recently run into a problem where one of my book distributors wants my ePub in the ePub 2 format.    At the moment, every time I export that book as an ePub it defaults to the ePub 3 format.   How do I change that?

When you export a Reflowable ePub from InDesign, you can choose ePub 2 or 3. If it’s a FXL ePub you only have 3 available.

Hi Derek.  Thanks for the reply.  When I originally created this ePub I exported it as an ePub 3.  That worked fine for the distribution services I was using at the time, Amazon and Kobo.  But new service I want to use requires ePub 2.  The problem is when I try to export the file now it defaults to ePub 3 without giving me the option to export ePub 2.  Nowhere in the export options does it say ePub 2.  The options are ePub reflowable (which generates the ePub 3 format) or ePub fixed layout.  So I'm missing something.

Are you absolutely sure you’re exporting to Reflowable? If so, try a different file to eliminate any issues with the current one.
