InDesign export to PDF is changing some Chinese characters

Any ideas what would cause a small percentage of Chinese characters to change to a different character when exporting a file to PDF?

My colleague is using InDesign CC and Acrobat DC, and a handful of seemingly random characters are getting changed when a PDF is created.

I have InDesign CS6 and Acrobat Pro and everything works fine for me.

    Hi Kelly,

    Please make sure while exporting "Subset fonts when percent of characters used is less than" is set to 0%
