InDesign extremely unstable with Extensis

Hello.

For ever I have been in search of a great font manager. Font Base is quite good but I noticed extensis has a new 'connect app'. I tried suitcase back in the day on a trail but noted that indesign in particular became extremly unstable, crashing or freezing constantly and not even for anything relating to fonts, such as placing graphics. So I binned it.

Roll forward to today and exactly the same issues. On a totally different machine from those years ago. Crashing, freezing, works great for minutes at a time then boom for no reason frozen solid, etc etc.

Windows 11 PC decent spec.

Has anyone else had these issues with extensis, should I just give up on it?

I was a huge Suitcase fan but these days I see very little need for a font manager, but you're going to need to contact Extensis if want help with their plugins. BTW, you can still use it but disable the auto-activation plugin.

You have to contact Extensis. Plugin developer are often several months behind the programs the develop plugins for. If you depend on those plugins you have to work with an older version.

For me I have decided not to use any font management software as I work always with a version ahead and no additional plugin would allow a stable work.

The version of InDesign.
Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?
Is it happening randomly, or have you noticed any pattern?
