    Hi @BoniM.,

Sorry to hear this is happening with your file. Could you please share the details requested by the expert, such as the exact InDesign version, operating system details, and what exactly happens when you try opening the file? Any screenshots or error messages would also be helpful.

Additionally, please confirm where the file is currently stored, such as a local drive, external drive, remote/network location, or cloud-synced folder. If the file is stored anywhere other than your local internal drive, please move it locally first and then try opening it again.

You can also try going to File > Open, select the affected file, and enable the “Open Copy” option to see if the file opens that way. If it does open, please immediately save it as an IDML file and then reopen the IDML and save it again as a new INDD document.

If the issue still persists, please feel free to share the affected file here or via DM if it is confidential, and we can help check it further. You can use any public cloud-sharing service such as Google Drive or Dropbox to share the file.

    Looking forward to your update.
    Abhishek

What are your versions of InDesign and the operating system? What exactly happens when you cannot open the file? Any screenshots will be helpful.
