InDesign Files Suddenly Showing Corrupt File or Database Error on Windows

I am about to lose it! Running latest InDesign on Windows. Two time-consuming files that I’ve been working on for weeks are now both generating the attached errors. I need help!

Uninstall/install Windows updates as described here:

This problem should be addressed in the current update (and a few before that, as far as I understand).
