Indesign files won't open

Question

Hi,

I've noticed my indesign files wont open, they only open when I rename the file _v2 etc.
They are stored in an icloud backed up folder on my mac.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all adobe cloud apps.

Factory reset my computer yesterday and it's still happening!

My mac is a Apple M1 16GB Memory and I'm running the latest Mac OS Sonoma 14.0

Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

Before checking any other solutions (as well as addressing the fact that InDesign doesn't officially support Sonoma yet):

What happens if you move your files out of the iCloud backed up folder? Will they open?
