InDesign Folio Builder vs. Interactive PDF

Hello,

I have created multiple interactive pdfs in the past which include pop up text boxes. I have been requested to produce one with pop up boxes that include scrollable text. After some research, I found that scrollable text boxes can be created using Folio Builder.  Would this work for what I am trying to do?

Once the file created with Folio Builder is complete, what kind of file is it? I'm used to the documents being viewed in Acrobat or other similar pdf viewer.  How will the end user view the interactive file if I create it with Folio Builder?

Thank you.

Won’t work. Folio builder is for DPS only.

You can create scrollable text boxes in a wink with Acrobat Pro.

Just tick the "scroll text" checkbox in the field properties.

I don’t think that’s what the OP had in mind. They want scrollable content.

What is DPS? Is this something I can get with my CC subscription?

DPS was a feature offered in InDesign CS5 through CC 2014. It allowed the creation of apps for mobile devices. For various reasons it was no longer offered after CC 2014. I loved that puppy. May it rest in peace.
