InDesign Font issues

I use Indesign with work, and today I came in after the weekend, reopened my ongoing project in InDesign, only to find tons of text highlighted in pink and a prompt to change my fonts. I have no idea why, as the fonts in question, my entire Roboto and Roboto Condensed font trees, are installed on the computer, through Adobe fonts mind you, and when I went to adobe fonts to confirm them, they were all still active. Deactivating and reactivating them, and deactivating and reactivating them followed by restarting indesign all did no good, and I both like the fonts, and used them for a ton of small specialized texts (page number footers, headings, etc) that I don't want to go through the whole thing redoing.

I also just have no clue why only these random fonts are screwed, while my Roboto Slab, Roboto Mono, and several other Adobe Fonts-sourced scripts are perfectly fine, hence it is not an issue with Adobe Fonts.

When I've gotten sideways down the font hole, sometimes only a restart of my computer will fix it. If you're using Suitcase, run File / Clean Font Caches. If you're not using that as a font manager, I like Onyx as a clean up app for monthly cleaning.

OS? Version of InDesign? Do you use a font manager?

We've seen a number of similar reports of font problems when multiple versions of the same font from differnt sources are installed, particularly if installed in multiple locations.
