Good evening everyone,

can anyone tell me why in InDesign for epub a button inside an object state can't handle an animation outside the object? Or, if it can be done, can you help me do it?

Thanks so much for the help.

Julian

Hi @Giuliano27603768lpmo ,

you can widen the scope what a button can see if you anchor it to a text frame inside an object state.

So this way a button nested inside an object state is able to control an animating object outside of the MSO. Like stopping the animation for example…

Great! You are the number one. I'm just wondering why they complicated this step so much? Thank you very much, see you at my next difficulty

Hi Uwe, i have a new question.

A button can command multiple events in a time sequence, can i merge or group this sequence so that it can then be interrupted or paused by another button?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
