indesign glitch

Hi there, 

 

It took a very long time to export my Indesign file. It eventually didn't work and I had to restart my laptop. When I opened the file again some pages were missing but I made sure before restarting my laptop that I saved my work. The pages that are missing are at the start of the document. They are completely missing from the preview section but you can see an empty copy of them on the pages bar on the right. Can I please get help ASAP- this is for a due assigment.

  1. Save or export your INDD as IDML (InDesign Markup Language)
  2. Open that and save as INDD with a new name.

 

This will repair the file, but some damages might not be repaired as the damage is too huge. But the file is now not corrupted. You have to check against unwanted changes.
