InDesign has been crashing all the time

Hi everyone

for the past couple of weeks, InDesign has been crashing all the time, 4-5 times a day, even though I haven't changed anything on my computer. Yesterday I installed the update and was hoping it would fix it, but today the same thing happened twice. Is there a bug? Does this happen to anyone else?

Adding to what the expert suggested, I checked but couldn’t find a crash report submitted under your community email. Could you submit one and mention your email while doing so? Then, DM me the email, so I can check the logs. Ref: https://adobe.ly/4iX9DeY.

Also, could you share more details about when the crashes happen? Does it occur at launch or while using a specific tool or effect? In the meantime, you can also try some troubleshooting steps here: https://adobe.ly/4j8MdDl. Let me know how it goes!

Hi there,

For the records, I have an even more serious bug happening with Indesign 20.2.

The app actually crashes when … I close a document. On the first document. Even if I restart the app, the bugs keeps coming back. I've tried rebooting the system, uninstall the app, reinstall, the bugs stays there.

Therefore, I cannot use ID 20.2. ID 20.1 works fine though, so it's not so much of a big deal.

I will probably wait until the next release to see if it's fixed.

What platform and OS version? 

 

If you're on Mac - do you use Typeface app - font manager?
