Question

Indesign has stopped warning of missing fonts

This is very annoying. I have a document with missing fonts, the easy answer is to replace them. On opening the file indesign used to say these fonts are missing and gave me the option to replace. It no longer does that. So now all I have is a sea of pink.

Should the creator have used paragraph styles? Yes of course they should. But they didn't.

How do I get the popup to reappear?

Why is indesign just totally going backwards, will adobe reduce the price until the fix out all these bugs? (thought not)

Hi @garethirwin1234:

Are they listed when you choose Type > Find/Replace Font?

Either way, it is always helpful to provide details when asking us a question:

  1. What version of InDesign exactly (the latest as of today is 21.0.2)
  2. What operating system exactly?
  3. When did this start happening? (If it happened after your upgrade to v21, did you try rebuilding cache/preferences)?

Latest version, Windows 11. I am not sure when it started. Its not doing it for all files so I shall keep investigating.
