Hi there, I'm having a strange issue coming up in ID 14.0 Arabic English version

We are trying to add a hyperlink to an email address. I perform this in the normal way, but when we test  the link, it adds a full stop/period before the address, making it invalid. Attached is a screenshot of the setup where this doesn't appear, and a screen from my mail app.

Are you exporting to interactive PDF or any other format? What is the language for your Operating System?

I'm using InDesign with Arabic support, export to PDF, the hyperlink works and the email address doesn't show the problem you're encountering.

Don't you think this is an issue with the mail app?

Why is the mail app showing the name before the @ in camel case and InDesign is not doing this?

Uwe

The address in the email application is precedede by a period (.). That wouldn't be legal in an email address, would it?
