InDesign interactive buttons bleeding off the page.

I regularly create interactive pdfs in InDesign which have buttons to navigate between pages. The document I am currently working on has round cornered buttons that bleed off the page. When I export to pdf these buttons aren't stopping at the edge and show the bleed. No other elements that also bleed off on my artwork are doing this. I’ve created button in this way previously and not come across this before. Yes, I could crop the buttons so they don’t bleed, but that’s extra work that has never been needed before. Hopefully the attached screenshot shows the problem, the image on the right is my InDesign doc and the one on the left is the pdf. Any ideas from anyone?

    Thanks for your patience. We’re able to reproduce this issue, and it’s been confirmed as a bug with interactive buttons not clipping at the page boundary during export.

     

    The product team is actively working on it, and I’ll keep you posted here with any updates.

      I am able to recreate your issue. Even having the PDF open in full screen displays the issue. This might be a bug.

      Have you unticked “Use Document Bleed Settings” under the Marks and Bleed tab?

        Bleed isn’t an option for interactive pdfs. Plus other elements that bleed off the page are fine. Thanks anyway.

        Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re seeing this issue.

        I tested this on my end and was able to observe the same behavior. In an interactive PDF, the buttons do extend beyond the page edge. I tested this in InDesign 21.3 as well as older versions like 20.5.3 and 19.5.5, and they all behaved the same way.
