InDesign Keep CRASHING

Hi, I believe many users are facing the same issue as I am. I use InDesign every day, and for the past four months, it’s been crashing constantly. I've sent emails to Adobe support, but of course, I've had no response—nothing at all. It's so frustrating paying so much money for something that's faulty, and then having Adobe employees completely ignore you. At this point, I’m not even asking for help anymore because their support is useless. I’m seriously considering switching to Affinity. Is anyone else having the same experience?

You should include info about your platform, OS and InDesign versions.

Have you tried resetting preferences?

Hi,

I’m currently using an Apple M2 Max with macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, and the latest update for InDesign (version 20.0.1).

Yes, I have reset the preferences multiple times. Over the past few months, I’ve done extensive research and tried many solutions I’ve found online, but unfortunately, nothing has resolved the issue. At this point, I’m aware that there’s little chance of finding a solution through your support, as I’ve been advised of the same responses repeatedly.

It’s incredibly frustrating, and I find it unprofessional for an industry-standard software like InDesign to be crashing continuously. If this issue remains unresolved, I will likely have to consider switching to alternatives such as Affinity or Canva.

I hope this can be addressed properly, but at this stage, I’m not holding out much hope.

I'm not Adobe employee.

Has it started "suddenly"? Have you changed anything right before it started?

When exactly it crashes? Randomly or when you do a specific operation?

Have you tried removing all fonts?

How much RAM do you have?

Do you work locally or remotely?

We don't know your history - and what you've said to the Adobe CS - so if you are looking here for help - from other users - you need to start from scratch, unfortunately.
