indesign keeps constantly changing the app's interface language to my mother tongue, even though the CC default language is set to English

Question

I have set the default language in my Creative Cloud to English but my InDesign app interface keeps randomly changing the language to my native language. The only, incredibly tiresome solution is to uninstall and the re-install InDesign and HOPE that the interface in is english. Sometimes it is and stays that way maybe even months, but then one morning I open my InDesign and the interface is in my native language again.

All other Adobe apps are in English and InDesign is the only app that keeps doing this at random intervals.This is such a waste of time!!!

Hi @Marja26034809ehh0,Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry for the frustration this repeated language switching is causing.Please first uninstall InDesign through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Then go to Creative Cloud Desktop > Preferences > Language and set Default install language to English (International) or English (North America) before reinstalling InDesign.If the interface switches back to your native language again, please note whether it happens after an InDesign or Creative Cloud update. Also, please share your exact InDesign version, OS version/display language, Creative Cloud Default install language, and screenshots of both the Creative Cloud language setting and the InDesign interface.Looking forwward to your observation.Thanks,Abhishek
