Indesign Keeps crashing

So I have been using Indesign completely fine yesterday morning and then I tried again later on in the day and the app just keeps not responding. I am working on mac. I have restarted my mac multiple times, cleared preferences, and also re-downloaded the app, worked on new files and none of these options have fixed it. I also have both my mac and indesign up to date. Is there anyway to fix this because I need it for a class in college?

Which version of  InDesign and OS?

Does the crashing occur on most documents or just one?

I'm using OS Monterey 12.3 & InDesign 17.4. The crashing occurs on most documents, it doesn't matter if its a new document or ongoing one.

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?
Try resetting the Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults to see if that sorts out the issue.
