InDesign keeps crashing when I try to delete a bloc text

I am working on a complex InDesign file, with several links inside the doc.

I wanted to update my file, and need to remove a page. But when I remove the page Indesign crashes. I tried to understand what on this page can be a problem, and decided to delete my blocks 1 by 1. In the end it's a text block that seems to be the problem. But frankly I have no idea why. I just need to remove this page from my file. How can I do it witout making the app crash? (I tried 20 times at least!)

FYI the reason that exporting the file as an IDML works in a case like this is that the process can actually remove minor corruption in a file. It is recommended to try this whenever a single file is acting peculiarly. As long as the problem is not happening with many or all InDesign documents it is a good first stop in troubleshooting.

I answer my own problem in case it helps someone else!

The trick is to save the file as an idml copy. Open this new file, work on it and save it as a new indd.
