Indesign keeps showing random boxes and cursors.

InDesign is going mad. I have to force quit several times a day. On the pointer tool I select the zoom tool from a keyboard short cut. It will hold onto the zoom tool. I size a text box on a page and the pointer keeps the size co-ordinates and not go back to the pointer. Some times it wont let me do an undo (command z). Sometimes a random box from a menu (e.g. Layer options) I haven’t used, appears in the screen. When any of the above starts happening I know it’s time to force quit. It may be in my mind but does this have to do with upgrade to Tahoe. I have reset InDesign preferences. 2021 Macbook pro Tahoe 26.5.2 Indesign 2026 21.5. - HELP.

21.5 has some known bugs. Try rolling back.

First, clear your preferences and caches:

    Will it make a difference?

I’ll try it and test over the next few days.
