Hello,

first time here and I was already busy the entire day to solve my problem.

When I start InDesign I get the popup-window that it wants to recover a file I once worked on. By now I no longer want that file.

When I click on NO nothing happens for hours, same with YES.

The popup-window will also not move from the screen anymore.

I tried various solution - but nothing seams to work.

example:

1. I tried to open the file separately - will not work.

2. I deleted the cache belong to InDesign - no changes.

3. I deinstalled InDesign and reinstalled it - will not work - it still wants to recover the file.

Does anybody has a different Idea?

Thanks

Alexander

Hello George,

many thanks for the help - I also listened already to this lady last week.

But at the end a Adobe customer service guy took yesterday 3,5 hours to fix it directly on my computer.

It was a bug - known by Adobe in the InDesign - that caused the problem.

Thanks for responding

The tip is about deleting the Recovery Folder and/or its contents. Did that not work for you?

You're need to delete InDesign recovery folder. Watch the link -

Hello Michael,

this recommendation under number 22 is about deleting the cache - I did that before and It does not work.

Any other tip?
