Indesign Libraries

I'm attempting to create a library for our company. Simple enough. I can't seem to get a 3 column page of text to appear with a cc badge link. Instead it comes in as a what appears to be a embedded graphic which can be edited but it doesn't update because it's missing the cc badge link. Does anyone know if text columns work within shared libraries?

Can you share a screengrab please ? It will make it more clear as to what the issue is. You can save text columns into libraries so I just want to be more clear as to what you are seeing and what problem you have..
